LED lights are ... I think they are clad in thick glass (I know that there are commercial), but the military can do something else.
The lamps themselves are light bulbs, used similarly as for brake lights.
They are green, such as polycarbonate, the vegetation
Since the brake lights to see red, because they covered with red plastic.
